3D Metal Printing

Unlike with most home printers, industrial metal printers use a different technique. In fact 3D printed parts are constructed from very fine granular Aluminium or Titanium powder. Since it will be used for Ultra-thin printing layers, the powder must be perfectly shaped in order to even out. To create your 3D print a laser in the printer melts the powder. In the beginning of the process a roller spreads out a super thin layer of Aluminium or Titanium powder. Then the chamber of 3D printer is heated up, but the powder does not melt yet since it has not reached yet its melting point. A laser touches those areas of the layers that are parts of the design and as a result raise the temperature of these areas above the melting point and the part is sintered.  The process continues into the other layer until the whole part is sintered.
